I live in the south and am considering taking a job in the North. I have been told that if I do so my family and I will be entitled to an Irish Medical Card. Is this correct?

As a ‘frontier worker’ you will be entitled to an Irish Medical Card and this will extend to your family if they are regarded as your dependents.  If your spouse or partner works and has an income in the south this may affect their entitlement to the card.
