Quinn Employees Await News on their Fate

Employees of Quinn Insurance are today anxiously awaiting news on how many jobs will be axed at the Company on both sides of the border here and in other parts of the UK.
A meeting is due to take place at 3.30pm this afternoon (Friday 30th April 2010) at which the workers will find out how many jobs are to go, and where they will be lost. A press conference will be held near the company's head office in Cavan an hour later.
Speculation has risen during the week that as many as 1,000 staff could lose their jobs over the coming months.
Quinn Insurance has offices in Cavan, Blanchardstown, Navan, Enniskillen, Derrylin, Manchester, London and Dublin city, with a total of around 2,400 people working for them.
